Valid 280037Z - 280130Z The severe weather threat for Severe Thunderstorm Watch 664 continues. SUMMARY...Local severe risk continues -- particularly across portions of southern Iowa within WW 664. DISCUSSION...Latest radar loop shows the strongest convection within WW 664 occurring along the Iowa/Missouri border area, to the cool side of the southward-moving cold front. While slightly elevated, CAPE/shear environment remains supportive of stout/rotating updrafts, and attendant severe risk -- primarily in the form of large hail.
