Your application will not be processed until a disaster has been declared in your area and you complete and submit your registration. <br><br>FEMA will notify citizens through local media and emergency managers when a declaration is approved by the President. If you selected to subscribe to email notifications, you will receive an email from FEMA when a disaster is declared for your area.<br><br>You may complete and submit your registration by creating an online account and returning to DisasterAssistance.gov after a disaster is declared.
