<p><b>Tips for Uploading Documents</b></p>

<p><b>Before you begin, please be sure that none of your files are locked or password-protected.</b> The system will reject these files if you upload them. We can only process unprotected files. Filenames must also be unique and be 50 characters or less.</p>

<ul><li>Select the <b>Assistance Type</b> and <b>Document Type</b> that best describes the document you are uploading.</li>

<li>Make sure all pages of your document are uploaded together.</br>
<i>(For example, if you are uploading your insurance settlement, please make sure all pages are in a single file).</i></li>
<li>Depending on the type of FEMA assistance you applied for, multiple <b>Document Types</b> may be selected for the different documents being uploaded.</li>
<li>Make sure to include your FEMA registration number on all pages.</li></ul>
