Food for Florida provides help with food for disaster survivors who do not already get food assistance from the regular program. To receive the benefits, the household must:<br>


<li> Live in a designated disaster county<br></li>
<li> Have food loss<br></li>
<li> Have damage to their home or self employment property<br></li>
<li> Have a delay, reduction or loss of income due to the disaster<br></li>
<li> Have available assets and income under the established limits required for this program<br></li>
<li> Have other disaster-related expenses<br></li>
<li> Intend to buy food<br><br></li>

During the pre-registration period, you must:<br>
<li> Provide proof of identity<br></li>
<li> Complete the online pre-registration form<br></li>
<li> Agree to electronic transfer of this form to Food for Florida<br><br></li>

To use this service, you must have a Florida driver&#39;s license or Florida identification card. If you do not want to pre-register online, you may:<br>
<li> Visit the closest Food for Florida site in your area<br></li>
<li> Provide proof of identity<br></li>
<li> Complete a paper application<br></li>
<li> Be interviewed to find out if you qualify for benefits<br><br></li>

If you are registering for Food for Florida benefits for a household other than your own as that household&#39;s “Authorized Representative,” you will need to:<br>
<li> Complete all questions on the pre-registration for the members of that household<br></li>
<li> Provide proof of your identity<br></li>
<li> Provide a valid Florida Driver&#39;s license or identification card for the person you named as the registrant or head of the household in the pre-registration<br></li>
<li> Have a signed statement from the named head of household that you are authorized to apply for benefits on their behalf<br></li>
<li> Bring your ID, the head of household’s driver&#39;s license or ID and the signed statement to a Food for Florida site near you<br><br></li>
