Earthquake
Damage caused by severe ground shaking that is the result of shifts within the earth's crust.

Earthquake events also include the following: Aftershocks; Volcanic eruptions.

Fire
Damage caused by fire, explosion, smoke, soot, or ash. If a flood caused a fire—such as floodwater caused an electrical fire that destroyed your home—select both Fire and Flood.

Flood
Damaged caused by flood water. This would be a temporary submersion—partial or complete—of normally dry areas caused by an external water source. The source of water may be the overflow of inland or tidal waters, or from the rapid accumulation of rainwater on or in the soil.

Flood events also include the following: Mudslide, mudflow, and landslide (caused by rising water or ground saturation); Ocean waves (that directly strike your property)

Seepage
Damage caused by water-saturated ground surrounding a structure (usually a basement). Seepage does not require water to rise from the ground up, as with flooding. Water seepage occurs when water- saturated earth is in direct contact with porous building materials, such as concrete blocks often used in foundations and basements.
