Program Description

After a disaster, FEMA works with the state, Tribal Nation, or territory to open Disaster Recovery Centers (DRCs) in or near affected communities.

The centers can help you apply for FEMA assistance and offer other information and resources to help with your recovery. You may also visit to ask questions about your case.

DRCs are set up in facilities and mobile offices for all survivors to access. The DRC Locator shows the hours, services, and locations of centers near you.

General Program Requirements

DRCs are open to anyone who wants to come in. There are no program requirements to visit.

Application Process

You don’t have to apply for anything to visit a DRC. We’re here to help.
