It may include help with the following expenses and damage:

  • Child Care
  • Medical and Dental
  • Funeral
  • Transportation
  • Moving and Storage
  • Miscellaneous and other expenses
  • Critical Needs
  • Clean and Removal

General Program Requirements

In most cases, you must meet all of the following to qualify:

  • You or someone who lives with you is a U.S. citizen, a non-citizen national, or a qualified alien.
  • You pass FEMA’s proof of identity and occupancy if it applies to you.
  • You have no insurance –or– have filed a claim, but it does not cover all of your losses.
  • You have serious needs or expenses from losses in a Presidentially declared disaster.

To qualify for some types of ONA, it may depend on whether you’re able to get a disaster loan from the Small Business Administration (SBA).

Other terms and limits may apply.
