Scheduled maintenance from 10 a.m. ET on Friday, June 20th to 4 p.m. ET on Saturday, June 21st will cause our fax service to be offline. You will not be able to send faxed documents to FEMA during this time.

You can still create and access your online account and agents can still access and update your file.

To apply for assistance, you may complete an online application or apply by phone. For general questions or to apply by phone, call the FEMA Helpline, from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. ET, 7 days a week:

    • 800-621-3362
    • If you use a video relay service, captioned phone, or other service, give FEMA your number for that service.

You must have a FEMA application number and approval from FEMA to participate in the Transitional Sheltering Assistance (TSA) program. Use the hotel locator to find a participating hotel.

If you have questions about TSA or need help locating a hotel, you may also call the FEMA Helpline at 1-800-621-3362, 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. (in your time zone), 7 days a week. Hours may be longer during high disaster activity.

If you use a video relay service (VRS), captioned telephone (CTS), or other service, give FEMA your number for that service.

FEMA may still be able to help. Visit the COVID-19 Funeral Assistance page. Or to learn more and start an application, call 1-844-684-6333.
