<b>Correspondence Preferences:</b><br>
This screen provides the option to inform you of the status of your application and the language in which you prefer to receive the correspondence.
<br><br>
By selecting one of the below options, you are verifying the form of communication you prefer to receive correspondence from FEMA; this includes the following:<br><br>

<b>Traditional Postal Mail Service:</b><br> By selecting this option all correspondence from FEMA will be sent to you through the US Postal Service.<br><br>
<b>Ability to view online by Notification of E-mail:</b> By selecting this option you will receive notification of new correspondence from FEMA via E-mail to view your letters electronically. All FEMA communications will be posted to your Disaster Assistance Center (DAC) account, which can be set up after the completion of your application. You will not receive any communication by traditional postal mail when selecting this option. <br><br>

You may change your correspondence preference at any time by calling the FEMA Helpline or logging into your Disaster Assistance Center (DAC) account and selecting &#8220;preferences&#8221; from the Correspondence page.<br><br>

<b>Language Preference:</b><br>
This provides the option as to which language you prefer to receive correspondence. The options available are English or Spanish only.
